Ben & Jake, 6 Weeks Old

Hello Everyone!

Get the car seat ready!!! Tomorrow is the day we will take Jake home from the hospital. We are soooooooo excited! However, I have been really sad tonight thinking about leaving Ben behind. I think about kissing him good-bye tomorrow night and leaving the hospital without him and get VERY upset. The nurses are telling us it should only be another week or so until Ben comes home. A week seems like an eternity!! I know in the big picture it is nothing but I will not rest easy until our family is all under the same roof. I can't wait to have alone time with my family. We have yet to be alone with our boys since they have been born. Soon enough!! Whats one more week?? :)

Well I must go and enjoy my last night of restful sleep! :)

PS) My little chunkers are 5 pounds 12 ounces and 3 pounds 12 ounces. They both have doubled their weight!! YEAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

PSS) Their hearing tests came back perfect. Another thing checked off the list!

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I hope you did get a good night sleep. Everything will be fine and Ben will do great knowing it will get him home to his family. Jake is bigger than Kyle was when he came home from the hospital. Kyle was 6lb 7oz when he was born and only 5 and a half pounds when he came home. You both are going to be great parents and Ben will be taking advantage of the staff at the hospital all to himself. Think of this time as a transition to getting into the swing of things and getting the hang of it. I am so happy your family is heathy and well. If there is anything I can do, I am only a phone call away.

Oh My Goodness!! How exciting. I am so happy for you both. I can't believe after ALL this time, you are finally bringing your babies home. What a wonderful feeling it must be. Take Care and Enjoy! Remember this: Ben will not be alone. They have never been alone. All our prayers have kept their guardian angels right by their side this entire time.

Congratulations...what great news. It will be wonderful once you get Jake home. And remember...Ben will do great. He has been so strong and will continue to be.

When Makena came home and Brynley was in the hospital, I brought Makena everyday to the hospital. Sometimes my parents would take her home in the afternoon to give her a break. I wanted to make sure Brynley knew her sister was nearby and so was I.

Congrats!!! I hope all is going well for you at home. Our hospital allowed twins to come back to the NICU and share their siblings crib for the day while parents were visiting. I hope the same is true for you. I'm looking forward to the first wireless baby photos.
